Palanca Letters

I would like to thank everyone who gave me Palanca Letters :) I really appreciated it. The messages are so touching. :)) Many unexpected people remembered me and also gave me Palanca Letters :) I guess what my friend, Danielle Diez, told me is true that you shouldn’t ask for Palanca Letters, because it’s in this way you’ll know who can really remember you. I actually asked some people to give me Palanca Letters. But as expected, some didn’t give me … It’s okay because I actually don’t expect that some people would give me Palanca Letters :)
Above: Palanca Letters from my close and best friends :)) I really love this people. Actually, I read these letters last because they’re very special to me… :)
Above: All of the Palanca Letters that was given to me :))
So again, Thank you to everyone who gave me Palanca Letters :) may God bless you all :)

Adding 2 Years in Basic Education

I've heard in the news that DepEd is proposing to add two more years in the basic education. Of course, due to the stubbornness of some Filipinos (sorry for the word), they started to state the reasons why DepEd should NOT add two years in the basic education.

In my own opinion, DepEd SHOULD add two more years. Why? Because that means we'll have a better quality in our education. Our neighboring countries has 12 years in basic education. Only Philippines has 10 years. So that means, we're 2 years short.

So why do am I saying that when the basic education is added with 2 more years, we'll have a better education quality? Simple. Even if Philippines is included in the Top 3 of the English-speaking countries, we can't hide the fact that in other aspects, we really fail. :(

In my own perspective as a senior student in high school, another 2 years is what we really need for us to be really ready for the world. Even now, some of my classmates haven't almost 'mastered' Algebra yet. Since we have some Korean classmates, I tried to compare a Filipino and a Korean in math. It turned out that somehow, they were kind of better. I asked my Korean classmate why she was good in math, then she told me they already had a little of that in Junior high and more of it in 2nd year. See the difference?

SO yeah, adding two more years means a better quality education.

Your Poppin My Heart A-Pop!

I saw a teaser at ABS-CBN featuring four men. Their features were not clear. The first thing that came into my mind was, "Is this the teaser for He's Beautiful?". Well, that ran into my curious mind until a post from one Facebook fan page gave light to me. :)) The teaser was actually for a new Philippine group named A-Pop.

Yes, you've heard it right :) the name is A-Pop. The group was officially debuted at ASAP XV last January 10 with the members Sam Concepcion, Young JV, Jaco Benin and Nel Gomez.

All I can say was wow, that was nice :)) They're still a rookie group which means they still have to improve with their style of performing. But who are actually these four members of A-Pop?

Sam Concepcion

"Ultimate Teen Pop Idol"

He is the leader of the group. He is also part of another group in ASAP, the Gigger Boys which focuses more in dancing. Even before debuting with A-Pop, he was already a known performer in the Philippines. If you know Charice Pempengco, well he was the one who beat her in the singing competition which both of them were finalists (Charice ranked 3rd while Sam is the 1st). He was also chosen by Dreamworks to sing Kung Fu Panda's theme song. Aside from singing, he is also an actor. He played Boy Bawang in Super Inggo and as Andrew, brother of Betty (played by Bea Alonzo) in the series I Love Betty La Fea. As of date, Sam had already launched two solo albums.

Jaco Benin

"Versatile Actor in the Rise"

If you know Side A's Joey Benin, well he is Joey's son. That explains his nice voice :)) His birthday is November 3, 1990. As of now, he's part of the Sunday afternoon show Gimik 2010. Aside from acting and singing, he is also into songwriting. :))

Nel Gomez
"MYX VJ Search 2009 Grand Winner"

Whenever I watch MYX, I always like his way of VJing :)) his English accent is super cool and he also has a nice face. Actually, Nel is Filipino-Columbian, so you can actually see his foreign features mixed with Filipino style. :) He also has a talent in singing. It looks like another idol is going to rise!

Young JV
"RnB Hiphop Sensation"

I've heard him sing already even before he debuted. :)) he's got a nice voice and a pretty face too. He've already released an album entitled Ready or Not on which all 15 songs were written by him. :)) My most favorite if his songs is That Girl which is a MYX Chart topper. :)

I'm really, really looking forward in seeing this group improve more in their singing. :)) As of now, I've seen some videos of them performing and I'm actually disappointed to hear that what they are singing are foreign songs like 'Baby' and 'Good Girls Go Bad'. I hope in the near future, they would performoriginal songs. :))

Kaya niyo yan A-Pop !! :))
