What Are the Things That Makes Me FIlipino?



  • when someone calls 'pssst', you easily turn around to see if you're the one that was called. 
  • there's a possibility that your nickname is repeating like 'Jun-jun' or 'Rick-rick'. 
  • when you go out with you friends, your parents wants to know who you're going out with, where you're going and what time you'll go home. At times, your parents wants to get the number of your friend/s to confirm if you're telling the truth. 
  • grounding is uncommon. However, brace yourself for a looooooong time of sermon session. 
  • your living room has pictures and diplomas posted. 
  • in your CR, you have 'tabo'. 
  • you have an altar. 
  • when you greet someone, you nod your head towards that person. 
  • you know Apo Hiking Society , Eraserheads and Rivermaya. 
  • you know that Eat Bulaga was once shown at ABS-CBN.
  • you know Cory Aquino and knows how to do the LABAN sign. 
  • you go to school with complete uniform. 
  • your parents expect you to PASS all your subjects with high grades O.o
  • you know which channel is better, ABS-CBN or GMA
  • a red light means to stop, green light means go and the yellow light means go faster. 
  • you know who's a Jejemon or not. 
  • you know Agatom or the flying jeepney Boknoy. 
  • you have a shelf of books
  • a meal is not a meal without a rice
  • you say takeout instead of to go
  • as a young, you were once interested in joining the Ang TV cast. 
  • you know Amor Powers and every night, you stay tuned just to watch Pangako Sa Yo. 
  • when you don't know what to say next, you say 'you know...'
  • you know where the best lechon is :))
  • when you eat fried fish, you always prepare 'sawsawan'. The 'sawsawan' is usually consists of Soy Sauce, Vinegar and Calamansi. 
  • in every place you go, there's always a karaoke bar. 
  • you know what jukebox is and who's the Jukebox Queen. 
  • as a child, your parents will tell you that when your wound is not treated, a train or a priest will go out from it. 
  • you speak in taglish (Tagalog-English), like for example: "I don't have the money kasi eh. That's why I'll lakad nalang to our house". 
  • You speak Filipino <3
  • You're already ride the jeepney. 
  • as much us how noisy inside the jeepney is, you can at times fall asleep. :))
  • when you talk, you at times add words at the end like 'eh' and 'noh'. example: Hindi noh.
  • your parents raised you in calling all your parent's friends Tita and Tito. 
  • you know corny knock knock jokes like:
    • p1: Knock knock!
      p2: who's there?
    • p1: autoload mo, how much magkano
    • p2:autoload o, how much magkano who?
    • p1: Nothing's gonna change my love for you, i.autoload, how much magkano ...
this list can actually go a long way. :)) I'll think of more things ... <3
