City Lights

Even though some may think that this isn't nice, I love this shot of mine. I took this at our room. I was looking outside the window when I saw the city lights. I was stars-struck because city lights amaze me. :) I took my camera and extended my arms outside the window just to take the city lights. The result? This one :)) It's not that clear but I love it . <3

Another shot of the city lights :) I like this one but I think it lacks something. Like something that I really want to see in the city lights. You know, the glimmer, the lights, the sophistication :)

Why I like and Don't Like Charice Pempengco

First of all, I'm a Filipino. And no, I don't hate her. There are just some things about her that annoys me. But keep in mind that I'm starting to like her. :D

Why I don't like Charice?
  • Even in the start of Little Big Star (the competition where she became first known), I really sensed that she has this aura that I really hate.
  • I don't like the way she speaks English. There are times that she has this slang, then the next time she speaks her slang is gone.
  • Her voice. No, I don't say that she doesn't have nice voice. She has but the way she sings, it's like aaa-aaah--aaahhh!!! And the way I hear it, she at times sings like this, "no no no way!! no-grrr---no !!! I'm not living with out you-grrr-you". Okay so there's no 'grrr' actually but I really don't know how to put it in writing.
  • She's still 18 and the way she dress, seems like they're making her look 20 something. Uhm, to the one that's in charge of her clothes, I think you can make her look mature yet in a preppy way. :)
Why I like Charice?
  • She's Philippines's pride!
  • She has a powerful voice. Yes, even I who's just listening to her voice can be teary-eyed after she sings. :))
  • Ahh, I think she's nice and humble. Whenever I see her being interviewed, wow, she's so down to earth. I hope she'll still stay the same.
  • Talented. Not just in singing but I think also in acting. My friends said that she has a good acting in her music video Pyramid. so Go with your acting!
I can write more but I'll stop here. :))I used to dislike Charice, sorry for that. But now, I think I'll like her. Much more that she'll be part of one of my most beloved series, Glee :))

Also, I'm looking forward for a collaboration album of Charice and Justin Bieber. I'm not so much a fan of Justin by I really think that a collaboration album of Charice and Justin will be nice. Well, they're both young and talented. :))

I Love OPM

This was my entry for a Facebook fanpage. They were looking for new admins and I just thought of joining.

first of all, I'm a K-Pop fan. An ELF in particular. I really like the beat of Korean songs. When you get to hear them, you just want to smile and move to the groove. Also, I got interested with their language. You see, English and American songs are popular here in the Philippines too. However, I already know how to speak English so I think hearing English songs is not as interesting as hearing Korean songs.

Since they say that we are now in the music generation, I think it's just fair that we should also like the songs not just of South Korea, but also of other countries. Language nowadays is not a barrier anymore for us to understand their songs. What is google and other search engines for? You just type in the title of the song. For example, if I want to learn the meaning or translation of Bonamana, I can just type in google, "Bonamana English". Then after a few seconds, I can now see searches about Bonamana in English.

Even though I'm a self-confessed K-POp fan, I can really saw that I'm an OPM lover. In my media player, I have a separate playlist for OPM songs. Whenever I feel lonely, I just search in Youtube any OPM songs that I could think of and just listen to it.

Sa tingin ko, ayos lang naman na makinig tayo sa mga Korean songs. kung sa mga kanta nga ni Justin Bieber at ilan pang American singers, nakikinig tayo, ano pa kaya kung sa ibang lahi pa. At saka, it's one way rin kasi for us to support our fellow Asians with their music industry. Alam niyo ba na si Donghae ng Super Junior ay nakikinig rin sa MYMP? Yeah, it's true. SO that just means na kahit like natin (o kami na K-Pop fans) ang K-pop, yung mga Koreans, nakikinig rin pala sa mga OPM songs. :))

All in all, I'm still proud to say na I'm an OPM lover. Liking Korean songs doesn't make me less Filipino much say patriotic. Kung mag-aaway man ang mga OPM lovers o Korean lovers ng bonggang-bongga, doon ako sa OPM side kakampi. :)) diba nga, patronize our own. kaya, yay for OPM !!:))

" I like K-POp but I LOVE OPM!"

Korea or Philippines?

Due to the popularity of many South Korean groups and South Korean related things, many people now want to live there. This is my opinion about Why I love South Korea, Philippines and what's my decision for now. The decision is about if I want to live in South Korea or not. :))
Why I love South Korea?
South Korea is a very progressive country. Even though it is just small, it made a difference. Their culture and language is very interesting.
The Koreans are cute in their own way. I really love them especially those I know. I have Korean friends and I really find them nice and interesting. They’re so bubbly. Whenever they talk, there is always life. They are also intelligent especially in Math. Those of my Korean classmates, they are so good in Math. They usually answer any Math questions that are given to them.
Seoul, their capital city, is very advance. Almost everything is computerized. Their life is simple yet very high tech. You can see tall buildings, billboards and everything that you can see for a progressive city for a progressive country.
All in all, who wouldn’t want to live in an advance place?

Why I love Philippines?
There are many things that I want to write why I love Philippines. Hmm… in simple words? This is my home. I was born and raised here. And when I grow up, I want to work here.
The Filipinos are known for being hospitable and smiling. Even though we have problems, we always find time to smile. This carefree attitude of us enabled us to survive even the hardest trials that life had given us. We are also known for talents especially singing. Lea Salonga and Charice Pempengco are just examples. They made big in the music scene and is still in the limelight.
Manila, our capital city, I can say is just starting to be high tech. up until now, many people are still living in slums. Poverty is still rampant all over the country. However, even thought it’s like that, Manila is still progressing. With high rise buildings, after many years, Manila could be one of the most progressive city.
I could have written this with one whole night and consume many pages. However, I’m thinking of writing a separate post why I love Philippines. J

The Verdict?
I love Korea but I love Philippines more. Yes, Korea is home of some of my Singing idols like Super Junior and Rain. But, Philippines is my home. I’m still waiting for that time when Philippines will be very progressive. J
