Hate Malaysia?

when I opened Twitter, the 2nd trending is HATE MALAYSIA!

Last night, my friend explained to me why some Indonesians have a hot blood to the Malaysians. But hello!!! As far as I know, it all started with some bickering among fans.

first and foremost, Indonesia and Malaysia are countries that are near to each other. Both belonged to South East Asia. And both are friendly people.

second, since both are SOuth East Asian countries, they should have just supported each other. If the main reason of the hot blood between these two countries is because of the soccer game, then hell with it! The losing team could have just accepted that the team played better than them!
I don’t get it why people are being immature about this. If you’ll open Twitter, the three in the top 5 trending topics are HATE MALAYSIA, #iloveIndonesia and Indonesians.

hello! please people, just be friends with each other okay? go to the root of your ‘fight’ and solve this problem. There are much worse problems than this one.

trend: LOVE MALAYSIA , #iloveIndonesia

I love both countries and I don’t take sides.

What's with the K-Pop groups?

Okay, so first, when Super Junior debuted as a 13 member group, the people thought that they won't be successful. Hello, they have the most number of members of all the groups in the WORLD! But after they worked hard, they gained themselves the ELFs, popularity, respect and a name for their group. They proved that Super Junior is not just a group but also  a Family.

Now, there is this new group named 20star. I have nothing to do with this group except that they're just too many! SuJu is originally 13, now 15 with Zhou Mi and Henry (Super Junior M), but 20Star has more or less 17 MEMBERS!

They're just too many? How will they divide their income with each other?
The more members you have, the lower the income of each member. The more members, the more income the managing company can get!
and if many members is not enough, how about th YOUNGEST groups?
I've heard of many people debuting in a group that are really young. But atleast they are not all young. Like Minzy, she debuted when she was more or less 15 years old. But the good thing here is there are people who are older than her who can help her keep up with Showbiz.
But hello! Managing companies started to debut young preteens.
Let me introduce to you GP Basic! These girls are only 14-15 years old! all of them! There's no one in their group who can maybe act as a really big sister to guide all of them.

But seriously, I just can accept GP Basic since they're already teens and time will come that they would be mature and more people will start to support them.
Whereas this next group, Girl Story, with the ages of 10-11!!!! GOSH!! >.<

What the heck? What type of songs are you suppose to let these kids sing? Cute, sweet songs? And hello, they can't wear sexy clothes and have sexy choreographies or songs with mature meanings like their sunbaes!!
What are some managing companies thinking?!

The rudest things that you can do inside a Church

  • Wear revealing clothes like mini skirt, halter tops, tubes, sleeveless/spaghettis- when we go to Church, we need to wear appropriate clothes like long pants, blouses or something that can cover parts of your body. If you want to wear sleeveless clothes, you need to layer it with maybe a cardigan or a shawl.
  • Eat - except for eating the Host, we should not eat inside the Church. It's being disrespectful.
  • Laugh really loud - there are times that we can't control our smiles/laughters. It's okay to laugh especially if the homily of the priest is kind of funny. But laughing too hard is just a no-no.
  • Sleep - why should you sleep in a Church? Does that mean that the word of the Lord is really that boring? Think of it.
Whenever we go to Church, we go there for our Lord. We go there to listen to His Words. We are not there to party, to sleep or eat a hearty food.
Come to think of it. Can't we forget all the rudeness in the world when we're inside the Church?

My Surname :*

Kagay-anon by heart lang ako kasi yung roots ko hindi talaga from Cagayan de Oro.
So bored ako kaya I Googles my mom and dad’s middle name and last name. Querol, Carpo, Sales at Vasallo.
so yung name ko is Shaira Amerl Querol Vasallo Carpo-Sales.
kung dito sa Philippines, the Carpo clan is mainly at Naga. Doon daw kasi maraming mga Carpo. I don’t know if reliable talaga pero most likely talaga. Pero sure talaga ako na hindi taga Cagayan de Oro ang Querol.
Dito sa Mindanao, I think nasa Gingoog ang maraming mga Vasallo. Tong clan na to parang isa sa mga kilala na clans doon. Until now, Vasallo is still regarded with respect. Pero yung roots daw talaga ng mga Vasallo is Spanish … Peasant which also can be Vassal came from the word Vasallo.
Itong Querol naman, I don’t know where. Pero as far as I know, it’s from here in Mindanao. Hindi ko lang alam kung saang place talaga. :))
Then Sales. Yung lolo ko came from Batangas. Doon talaga siya lumaki then we have relatives daw sa Batangas. Isa o dalawang block daw dun puro Sales ang mga nakatra. Ang amazing ata nun :)) well, I haven’t been at Batangas pa so hindi ko nakikilala ang mga relatives ko dun.
So there :)) iba-iba pala yung mga whatsoever sa blood ko. it’s so amazing to know :D
pero basta, Kagay-anon ako :) dito ako sa Cagayan de Oro ipinanganak!! <3

Second Place: Essay Writing Contest

okay, so last October I joined this essay writing contest and luckily the judges like my entry and I qualified for the second round! <3
So sometime this December, we were called to again join the second and final round. Wow, I was really nervous about it since I don't know what the topic will be.
The topic for the final round was "I Believe ..." . Of course I don't know what to write. It took me 15 minutes to think of what "I Believe..." I should talk about. I settled for "I believe that the school should not have any sections named as Semi, honors and Gensec" (not the same statement but the same thought).
SO this morning, the winners and finalists were awarded.
This is my award as finalist. :))

And then the moment of truth came. All the finalists were already on stage and the top 4 will be announced. The 4th and 3rd place were already announced and I kinda lost hope., I even told my friends beside me that "We'll just stay in the corner and let them receive their awards".
Then suddenly, after some moments, the second place winner was announced. I was shocked when I heard my name. I WON!! :) yahoo !! <3
This is my award as a second placer. It's actually an envelope and inside it is P4,000 :))

Along with money prize is a medal <3

<3
I won! :))
Now I've proved to myself that I am really a writer at heart :))

MTV ASIA?!

Yeah, yeah, I know. What's with the face? >.< well, who wouldn't be annoyed?
I logged on to MTV Asia's website. Well, my main reason was to search for Philippine Music. So I connected it to my facebok, blah, blah, blah!
Then I saw their search box. I first entered 'Christian Bautista' then hit go. The results turned out to be zero. I thought there was just something wrong so I searched again. Then there it goes again, no results. So I told myself that I think I should search for another singers. SO I tried Sarah Geronimo and Gary Valenciano. The same thing happened, no results again! WTH?!
So well, I searched now Super Junior, a korean boy band. When I hit go, there were many search results. Okay, so that's it? >.<
I know that OPM is not very popular in Asia compared to K-Pop but hello! Whenever I watch music videos at MTV (we have MTV China), what I always see are Japanese, Chinese and Korean songs. Hmph! Hello!!!!!!!!!! There are a wide variety of music genres here in SOUTH EAST ASIA too!

Jeepney Love Story

Jeepney Love Story
by: Yeng Constantino

Sumakay ako sa jeepney
Ikaw ang nakatabi
Di makapaniwala

Parang may hiwagang nadama
Nang tumama sa'yo
Ang aking mga mata

At nagsiksikan na
Dahil tumigil ang jeepney
Sa tapat ng eskuwela

Biglang nagkadikit
Puso ko'y biglang sumikip
At natulala

Sabi nila'y walang hiwaga
Kung wala'y
Ano itong nadarama

Ayoko nang pumara kahit san mapunta
Ayoko nang pumara kung ikaw ang kasama
Ayoko nang pumara

Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na ahhh
Ayoko nang pumara kahit san pa lumiko
Ayoko nang pumara sana di na huminto
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na
Kung ikaw ang kasama
(Adlib)

At may biglang sumingit
Natiempo pa sa'ting gitna
Sumimangot tuloy
Ang aking mukha

Mabuti nalang nagbayad yung ale
Sabi nya paabot naman
Nagkadahilan ako
Para ika'y tignan

Nung iaabot ang bayad
Kamay mo na palang nakaabang
Pambihira diba swerte ko naman

Sabi nila'y walang pag-ibig
Kung wala'y
Ba't kumakaba itong dibdib

Ayoko nang pumara kahit san mapunta
Ayoko nang pumara kung ikaw ang kasama
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na ahhh
Ayoko nang pumara kahit san pa lumiko
Ayoko nang pumara sana din a huminto
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na
Kung ikaw ang kasama

Manong driver
Wag mo nang ibalik ang sukli ko
Manong driver
Di mo ba alam walang babaan to
Drive lang po ng drive
Wag niyong hihinto
Kahit sa'n mapadpad
Kahit lumipad man tayo
Minsan lang madama
Ang ganito

Pero bigla mong
Hinila ang tali
Sabi mo
"Manong bababa ako sandali"

Ayoko nang pumara kahit san mapunta
Ayoko nang pumara kung ikaw ang kasama
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na ahhh
Ayoko nang pumara kahit san pa lumiko
Ayoko nang pumara sana din a huminto
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na

Ayoko nang pumara kahit san mapunta
Ayoko nang pumara kung ikaw ang kasama
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na ahhh
Ayoko nang pumara kahit san pa lumiko
Ayoko nang pumara sana din a huminto
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko nang pumara
Ayoko na
Kung ikaw ang kasama

Okay, I so love this song :)) the first time I heard it, I remembered those days when I was riding in the same jeepney with my crush. I feel like I don't want to go down the jeep because I don't want to ruin the time that I'm with him. <3

Oh Yeah! :)

I'm planning to make a big change here in my blog.
I used to write only about things about myself or my own opinions. :) Well, I kind of find now that it's not that me anymore, my posts I mean. SO starting today, I would be starting to post my fandom like music, books and shows. But still, I won't forget the main reason behind blogs, my own experiences. I'll continue to share to you about the happy moments and sad moments of my life :))

Mommy, I Miss You

Ugoy ng Duyan by Aiza Seguerra
Call me a cry baby but actually whenever I listen to this song, in radio or just my friends singing, I always want to cry.
I never get to spend long time with my mother. When I was still a child, I only get to spend Saturday Mornings to Sunday Afternoons with her. That's only a day compared to six days that she's away from me. Every summer, I get to spend it with her at Bukidnon and seriously, I always loved it.
When I was in Grade four, she went abroad. This meant that I only get to spend less than a month with her every eleven months. Up until now, she's still abroad and I miss her so much.
I miss those times when we would celebrate the Christmas and New Year together. We actually have the same birthday and I miss blowing the candles with her. I miss everything about her.
Just a memory of her can actually make me cry. I hope I can bond with her. <3

How to Enjoy Philippines (For Foreigners)

tips from me for you to enjoy your stay here in my beloved country.

  • know how to speak English- this is really important since being in the Philippines means dealing with many dialects and languages. Even though there are many dialects, Filipinos know basic English which they can us to converse with foreigners.
  • know basic Filipino - you don't need to know all the dialects in the Philippines (which is over a hundred). You just need to know the basic Filipino (National Language) like "Magandang Umaga" (Good Morning), "Magandan Araw" (Good Day" etc.
  • know the culture- Philippines is a diverse country with different cultures in different places. when you want to go to a particular place, you need to know their culture. This is to avoid some unexpected things like insulting the people.
  • MAP- a big yes for everyone who doesn't want to get lost in a crowd of people.
  • loose coins- you'll need it, trust me. Especially if you wanna ride in a jeepney, buy street foods or buy anything in a sari-sari store.
  • Big appetite- each place in the Philippines have their own delicacies, get ready to taste those.
  • camera- who doesn't want tor record the memories? :) you also need this one to take pictures of different amazing sceneries like the Mt. Mayon, Taal Volcano, Rice Terraces, Chocolate Hills, etc.
  • Long time- with over 7000 islands, you'll need a long time if you want to visit many places on the Philippines.
  • and my final tip is this: ENJOY your trip!
So there :) I hope this could help you survive enjoy your trip here in the Philippines. :)

ANN is the new America's Next Top Model

YEHEYY! :)) Ever since the start of the competition, Ann was always my bet to win and now she won.
Actually, I haven't seen the final episode yet but I'll make sure that tonight, I would see it. <3
Ann's final competition was Chelsey. Chelsey is also a pretty girl with an edgy look. Ann is also a pretty girl with a height of 6'2 and a waistline which is super small.
Now the question is who will win? Ann or Chelsey?

and the answer is:

ANN WARD
I'm so proud of her :)

Imma City Girl

Yes, I am a City Girl :) I was born and raised here in the City. I can't really say that I live in a really big city. Mine is just a normal one. With business centers, malls, schools and stuffs that you can see.
Actually, I've just concluded that I am a City Girl when I went to Bukidnon. We have a house thereand seriously, I think if boredom could kill, hurm, you know what could have happened to me.Thank god at that time we were just staying there for only a short while.
I just love the lifestyle here in the city. You should be a survivor to the survive. Almost everything is fast-paced. <3 There's fashion everywhere and being unique is common in the city.
If Imma enumerate ALL the reasons why I'm a city girl, then prepare for a sleepless night <3 live in the city and you'll know why I love being a City Girl :D

OPM

OPM (Original Philippine Music), yan ang pangalan ng Music Industry dito sa Pilipinas. Dahil dito, nakakapag-produce tayo ng mga amazing songs that can extends to almost all parts of the world. Even foreigners admire our songs because of our unique tunes and sensible lyrics.

Sadly, OPM is slowly, let us say, look upon as a weird (baduy) song style. Some Filipinos said that when they hear OPM, they remember the old school days and antique style of singing. O.o Old School? Antique Style?! What does that mean anyway?

(in a K-Pop fan perspective) For me, OPM's tune is unique. Many of our songs are like about love and breaking up (still connected to love). Many people wants something new, something lively, something that they want the beat to keep up and K-Pop (and other -insertcountry--Pop can give them). K-Pop's music is lively, the music videos are cool and even the language itself is interesting.

(in an OPM lover's perspective) Now, OPM in the other light is unique in an amazing way. Even though we have many love songs, we also have songs about family, friendship and being a Filipino. Our songs are praised around the world because our songs have a story, a story that many people can relate to.

OPM should really be given more exposure now. More time to shine and be popular to all over Asia and the World :)

Of Mice and Men

That's my own copy of 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck. :)
I so pity Lennie here in the last part. He died :'(
well, I actually cried in that part since Lennie, even if he's big, is vulnerable in the outside and thinks like a child.
You better read this book. :)

XU Entrance Exam

This morning, I took the XU entrance exam. It wasn’t of a big deal actually since I’ve already had a passing score for CSAT (which is 88) and I know that I can use my CSAT as my entrance exam. However, the exam that I took this morning was for a Scholarship and I can’t miss this chance.

You might wonder, and then what’s the big deal if I took this entrance exam? The BIG deal is that my parents thought that I took the entrance exam as a hopeful nurse student next year. Haha … Sorry to break the hope but I took the exam as a hopeful PSYCHOLOGY student next year.

Yes, Psychology. Why? Because I want to be a Psychologist and I want the course that would really interest me. I don’t want the course that my parents WANTS me to take. Why? Are they the one who’s going to school and study all those stuffs that doesn’t even them?! It’s me right? It’s me who’s studying so it’s DEFINITELY MY CHOICE!

Well , my dad a while ago asked me, “What will your job be after college (Psychology graduate)”. I just shrugged my shoulders cause I know that this talk will again lead to this question. Yeah right. Then what would be my job when I take Psychology? I can answer it with 2 letters and one number: M2M! let me enumerate those to you:
  • Police investigator
  • Guidance Counselor
  • PHOTOGRAPHER
  • Take Law then become a lawyer
  • Teacher
  • Psychology can also be a pre-med course
  • PSYCHOLOGIST!
  • And more to mention!

Okay, so stop asking me what will my job be because I can’t tell you anything because many works are rushing through my mind. >.<

I TOOK THE PSYCHOLOGY EXAM! THE END!

Gosh, Tom Felton definitely grew up. HE'S SO HAWT! :D

Rupert, Emma and Daniel are not kids anymore :) They just grew up. I love Emma, she's more beautiful than EVER! :D and oh, Daniel, he's kind of cute as well as Rupert!
weeeeeeeh :)) I'll wait for the second part of the movie. :)

A Trip to The Past

So yesterday, me and my three friends namely Sundae, Char-char, Mitsume and Martha went to Museo de Oro. It's a museum which is mainly about everything Mindanao. Museo de Oro is inside Xavier University.

We went first inside this room named Exhibit 1. I would love to take pictures but there's a "No Camera allowed" rule. Inside, there were many STUFFS. Plates, coffins, altar things from a church and much much more. There were also many "lana" and other anti-maligno (Aswang, Manananggal, etc.) there. There was a skull that was from 14th - 15th century. One of the most amazing things there were the bell that the age was more than 100 years old. :)) There are so many things that's interesting there. :))

So now to the Exhibit 2. This is at the second floor of the Museum. Inside it were amazing things. :)) Things that dated back to the time of Jose Rizal. There was a framed page of La Solidaridad, the flag of KKK, a chair from a respected family and many framed photos including Jose Rizal. As we roamed around, we also saw a rare menu from a French restaurant. That menu was used during the meeting of Jose Rizal and friends.

Just when you see walk in, there is a "wall" that you can see. When you walk around it, a painting of the primitive Cagayan de Oro is seen. The guide told us about the picture. He pointed to us where the present streets were. Many location of some places didn't change like the Cathedral. Lourdes College was also seen near its present place. The Cagayan de Oro Bridge is seen there in the painting, broken. Yeah, it was made of light materials that in the day of its opening, it gave up and fell down. One Spanish official died. Looking at the primitive Cagayan de Oro let us (me and my friends) think of how the time changed over the years.

Next stop, Exhibit 3. The room was just small. It has some ethnic costumes in it. There was a picture of a Muslim man waiting for his wedding to start. Then we moved on, there was a table were a 'bracelet' was displayed. We started talking like 'Hey look at this, bangles!'. Then the guide told us that the 'bangles' that we were referring to were actually woven horse hair. We looked at the 'bangles' again and was at awe. We moved on at the next clothing displays.
There was this (in our present time) three-fourths clothing which was designed meticulously. At first, we thought the things that were sewn unto it were sequins since it sparkled under the light. But then the guide told us that those were sea-shells. We touched the clothe and the sea shell. Wow, the work of art was just amazing.

After some time of looking at the clothes, we went out of the room. There was still an Exhibit upstair but then we realized that we stayed at the Museum looooooong. The closing time was 11:30 am and we were still there at 12:20 NOON!! :)) So we just decided to go home and told ourselves that we would go there again and complete our journey :)) We thanked the tour guide and off we went. :)

The tour at the Museum was an enjoying one. It opened my eyes to the amazing history of Mindanao and my beloved city, Cagayan de Oro City.

College Course

So this March will be my High School Graduation (hopefully). SO after graduation, summer then college. COLLEGE !! for crying out loud! The next step after Elementary and HIgh School.

So it is in college where you would take up what course you like. Yeah, so that's it. I really want to be a Psychologist, Paranormal Psychologist to be exact. However, ParaPsych is not yet available here in the Philippines so I guess I'll just content myself with Psychology. Some of my friends will also be taking up Psychology so if I will take up Psych in college, I will have less worry to adjust.

Why do I want to be a ParaPsychologist? ParaPsycholgy basically is about Paranormal things. Since I've experienced many Paranormal things already, I guess I can relate to some things. I also wanna learn some things about why Paranormal things happen and why some of it behave in one way or another. It's my curiosity that led me to dream about being a ParaPsychologist.

Now, since ParaPsych is not here in the Philippines, I want to be a Psychologist. I want to study why the personalities of people are like that or why some people act like that. I'm always curious about the body language of each people and what their body language meant. Basically, I want to learn about human behavior.n

So the reason why I wrote this blog is this, I can't take up Psychology. :(( Why? Because my parents want me to take up Nursing. When I was still a child, I used to dream be a nurse. A childish dream. Now, being a nurse is like a hard thing for me. I have my own reasons why I don't want to be a nurse.

  • It's not what I want.
  • There are too many nurses in the world and MANY of them are unemployed.
  • I hate the aura of hospitals (because of Paranormal incidences)
  • I hate the smell of blood and strong smelling-medicines. WHenever I smell these things, it always feel that I can taste them and wanna make me puke.\
  • I  don't want to be a reason why some patients will be more sick. I'm afraid that I may give a wrong med to a patient.
Hospitals really creep me out. When my father was hospitalized, I used to go to the hospital after class. When I arrive there, it's always past 6. SInce the room of my dad is at the 4th floor, I would use the elevator to go up. Everytime I enter the elevator and walk to the room of my dad, I always feel a presence that keeps on following me. CREEEEEEPY !!

So that's my main reasons why I don't want to be a NURSE! >.<

Our Country's Talented People

There are many people in this world that are really talented. Let it be singing, dancing, acting or in any fields. In each of the countries, there are people whom we are proud of because they have world class talents.

Charice Pempenco. I'm sure many of us have heard her song Note to God and the top rating Pyramid (featuring Iyaz). She first wowed the audience with her powerful voice when she joined a singing competition at the now defunct Magandang Tanghali Bayan. She was very young at that time. Unfortunately, she did not brought the bacon home but that did not discouraged her from joining any other singing competitions.
Charice joined the Little Big Star and was awarded third during the finals. After sometime, she was idle from the eyes of the public. Then a news about her came out where she was a guest at a Korean Show where Ellen Degeneres first saw her. That was the start of her rise to International Fame.
As of now, Charice joined the cast of Glee as a member of New Direction's opposing team, the Vocal Adrenaline. She's also busy promoting her album. :) I hope to see more of her soon.

No, she's not Lea Salonga, she's THE Lea Salonga. She played as Kim in the musical play Ms. Saigon. I really love her because she can sing, she can act, in short, she's a total performer. She's also voiced the singing Jasmin of the Disney animated movie, Aladin. She's also the first Filipino who won the Tony Awards for Performing Arts. :))
There are so many things that she has already attained in her life. She already has a husband and a cute child. :))
If you wanna know more about her, visit her Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lea_Salonga

Jovit Baldivino. He may be short for you but man, if you hear his voice, you'll think of nothing but the song. Known as the Siomai Vendor when he joined the Pilipinas Got Talent, Jovit wowed everyone when he auditioned for PGT. He's got a great singing voice. It's kind of hoarse in a good way with a great musicality.

Jovit won PGT garnering more than half of the votes. Now that's more than what you expect right from a humble young man? :)) Jovit is currently getting ready for his first solo concert this November 17 at Aliw Theatre. :D

Arnel Pineda. The lead singer of the band Journey. The members of the band chose him to be their new lead singer because "he sounds like the old vocalist". Well, if you'll listen to his voice, you might just agree to them.
He was discovered because of a fan, who kept on supporting them even if he was still a small-scale singer, posted his videos while singing in Youtube. Luckily, someone found him and voila, his road to success. :)) Arnel, despite of the fame and luck that he attained, always kept his feet on the ground. :)

You don't know him?  Really... .uh oh ... he's Apl.De.Ap yo! :) Yes! The one from the Black Eyed Peas. His real name is Allan Pineda Lindo Jr.. You think he is black? Well, apparently, he's half African American and Filipino so maybe he can be counted as one. :))
When he was 11, he went to America to treat Nystagmus, an involuntary movement of the eyes. Then after a trip to Disneyland, he expressed his interest in staying at America. When he was 14, he moved to America to live. It's in America where he started his singing and performing career.
Ever wondered if Apl.De.Ap forgot his Filipino roots? Better think again. In the Black Eyed Peas 2005 album 'The Monkey Business', the song Bebot (an all-Filipino lyric song) was included. However, Bebot wasn't released at the US but it was released in the Philippines and other Asian Countries. The song "The Apl Song" also has Filipino lyrics and if you'll listen to the lyrics clearly, you'll get the message of Apl's life.
Present time, I've seen many of Apl songs (independent songs) on which the aim is to present the Philippines to the whole world. :D

I know that I only put four people here. But hey, I'm not saying that this is the only post that I'll make about talented people. Take note of this, there are many that will soon to follow. :))

If you've seen in my past posts, I rarely put pictures ... :)) I guess, starting now, I should add more pictures in my posts because I think it can enhance the point that I want to elaborate :))

So that's it, pretty short huh? :)) please do read my posts :D

America's Next Top Model

I'm so loving this show !! :)) Every Sunday, I would tune in to ETC so that I can just watch the latest episode of AMNT Cycle 15 . :D I love Tyra Banks and Ms. J and Nigel and everyone on the show.

My favorite of all is Anne. :) she's pretty and so tall. The problem with her I think is that she can't openly show her personality and she's so silent. Nevertheless, I really love her because she's timid outside but when she's modelling, bam! She becomes very pretty and a model.
She had the best picture for five straight weeks, the first in AMNT history. But this week, she did not got the best picture (Liz got it). She placed third this week. But anyhow, I still love her :)) Keep it up Anne!

Kayla! :) she really reminds me of Bonnie Wright at times. :) she's really pretty. Here, her hair is blonde but in this cycle, her hair became red which also suits her. :) She's also really pretty and model-ish ...

I'm still taking my guess on who will become America's Next Top Model since all of them can be really great. :)) I can't wait for the next episode to air. :)

About Softball

I wrote this last October 21 which is Thursday ... :))

I'm actually not an official player for Softball but I am a sub. Since I'm a sub, I can replace any player of softball, a girl, in the game. One of my classmates can't play so I 'subbed' her. So yeah, we played under the heat of the sun, cheered for our classmates and oh, tried to distract our opponents. :))

The first game went well but I wasn't able to bat :( however, the good news is that we WON the first game! YAHOO!! Of course we did not have an easy game. Our opponent is quite good and we're kind of nervous about losing. However, our trust in the skills and capabilities of our classmates gave us the strength to still believe that we can win. When the official says, "Eeeeeeeeeeeeh, third strike! Batter OUT!", all of us would really cheer. Then after some minutes (maaaaaany minutes) of playing, we were finally declared the WINNER! Yeheey !!

The next game was kind of heated. In the first game (girls), the score was 3:2, in favor of our opponent. Of course, we were very nervous since we know that our opponent is very strong and skilled. However, in the 2nd game (boys), they had one homerun so our score can be totaled to 3. At the end of the second game, the score came to a tie, 3:3. so what did the officials do? They counted the number of plates and it came out that we've got more number of plates than the other team 7:3. So that means, we WON AGAIN! Yay !!

My classmates and I went to the canteen because we need to drink something because we were all thirsty. In the canteen, we met our other friend (from other section) and we started to talk about the game. Then I told my friend, "Bai, basin mag-laban ta ani para sa semi-finals. Duha man gud among daug. Kamo pud diba? ". Then a classmate of mine saw us and gave us our IDs. We had a conversation and this is how it went.

Me: Pau, when ang next game?
Pau: Wala na man tay next game, 3rd naman ta. JDC man ug Ogilvie ang mag play for the finals.
Me: (Shocked) taka? Nganu man? Wala na lain game?

Pau: Dili man, point-system man daw ang ilang gigamit. Gi-ihap nila ang number of points then gi-rank nila. So JDC and Ogilvie ang magdula.

When Pau left, my classmates and I were annoyed. We worked hard for our winnings and then here it is telling us that it is a point system? First of all, it was discussed to us that the system used will be the two-round Swiss System on which you need to win atleast two games in order to be qualified to the next round. So when we won our second game, we thought that we'll still have games against the other teams so that we can qualify for the championship GAME!

Still unsure, my classmates and I went back to our tent to ask if this is true. Unfortunately, we found out that it was true. Two of my classmates finally decided to ask the officials about it. When they came back to the tent, they told us the whole story.

They said that it is only in Softball that point system will be implemented. >.< In the other games, they will follow the Swiss-System. Then they said that it won't be changed since it is a set ground RULE!

What? I don't even, MANY OF US!, doesn't even know the ground rules! What we know is that they will follow the two-round swiss system just like before since we were in FIRST YEAR! They SHOULD have made their rules stated clearly so that the students won't be CONFUSED!

So that is the end of our journey which stopped into a halt to the Softball championship.

Is It the Government's Fault?

Is it the government's fault?

I've asked myself this question for sometime now. It's all up in the news. People rallying in the streets, shouting about their problems to the government. Blaming the government for all the misfortunes that they had. But is it really the government's problem?

Think about this logic. When you see people rallying, what do you think is the main reason? Maybe for some, their lands, justice and about corruption. But as far as I've seen, many people are rallying because of poverty and joblessness. Joblessness? These people that are rallying? Huh, why are these jobless people even doing at the streets? Hmmm… wailing about their misfortune.

If these jobless people even just looked even for a low pay job, will they even call themselves jobless? If these jobless people even tried to study vocation courses, they could have different options on what job they can get, whether it can be mechanics or tailoring. So see? Instead of just rallying on the streets and doing nothing about their joblessness, why not fixed it themselves?

Another is the ever growing of our population. So yeah, poor people are telling the media that they are poor because the government is not helping them and they can't send their children to school because the government has no enough fund for them. HELLO?! Did ever the government told all couples to make many children because the government will fund all the children's need? No, the government didn't and will never be. >.<

Why are there many out of school youths? It's because their parents cannot afford to send them to school. Reason? Maybe the parents doesn't have job or has one but can't really sustain all the needs of the children or maybe, the parents just have many children and just can't afford to even send them to school. And is it the government's fault that the parents made many children? NO! it's the parents. Why do they keep on making children and when they can't afford to even give the basic need of the children, they blame the government?

The other one is the current floods. It's rainy season now and many places are always flooding. So people starts to say that it's the government's fault that it's flooding or the fund of DPWH is corrupted that's why the canals aren't managed well. Minus the corruption, do you think that it is really the government or the DPWH's fault why some places are flooding? I don't think so.

Have you ever seen the pile of trash that the DPWH gets from canals and esteros? Well I've seen some and you know what, it's mostly made up of plastic cellophanes, Styrofoam and papers. Now let me ask you, are all of these trashes from the government? Did the government told the people to throw all their trashes to the canals and esteros? No, right? Our government never did. And why do you think some people are blaming the government because of all these flooding? Maybe they're guilty and are part of the people who contributed to the flooding of their place.

If I'm just an irrational person, I just can blame the government of all the problems that I have. Like for example, if I fail my quizzes, I just can say 'It's the government's fault that I failed because they're the reason why this subject exists in the first place'. See? That's how easy it is. But thinking in a rational way, I can say that I may fail the quiz because I didn't study. That easy right? I was able to accept the fact that I'm wrong and does not blame anyone for my misfortune, not even the teacher.

So the next time you think about wailing to the government or most specifically to the President himself, think first if is it really the government's fault or not. Think first if you even did your part in the first place. Think first if it the problem can be solve on your own. Stop wailing like kids to the government even if you only have petty problems. Remember, the government already has many problems. Just imagine the burden that you can to the government because of your petty problem wailing.

RH Bill: To Pass or Not To Pass?

{This is my editorial assignment for our English subject.}
(I know that all of us are familiar about sex or love making so I don't have any obligation to identify the word sex here in my editorial as 'it' or 'that thing'. )

Have you ever heard of the Reproductive Health Bill? It's actually about a law that will enable the using of contraceptives such as condoms in love making. As of now, the law makers are still trying their best to pass this law despite of the fact that many groups are trying to stop this bill to be legalized.

One of the groups that's actually trying for this bill to stop is the CBCP. Their reason is that since God made the man and the woman, these two should have a natural sexual intercourse. Which in short means that there should be no contraceptive involved in their love making. No contraceptive of any kind in love making could mean a possibility of pregnancy. Pregnancy could mean additional human being to this world that could add to our ever growing population.

I actually don't have any objections against the RH Bill or using contraceptives in love making. Considering that we are already 80 million plus and counting, we could actually use this bill four us to control our population. Nevertheless, using contraceptives in love making could reduce the chance of getting Sexually Transmitted Disease.

In my own opinion, there are times that using condoms and injectibles (for women) could be essential in terms of passionate love making. You see, there are times when the hormones of females is unstable. That means one can't accurately predict when a woman can be fertile or not. Between husbands and wives, having sex is a way for them to tie and make their relationship closer. Using contraceptives can also lessen the risk of unwanted pregnancy if the married couple is still planning not to have a child. However, I think this RH Bill covered all couples can use contraceptives. And when it's all, I mean ALL. Even those who are still in the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. I've heard in the news, read it over the net and watched it in different shows about unmarried couples having sex even though they're still not yet married. Sex is a sacred thing between married people and yet here are the unmarried couples having sex.

And the number one reason why I think they should consider passing this law is abortion. This past few weeks, we've heard in the news that unborn fetuses were left at the garbage cans. Isn't this one disturbing? Abortion happens because this two people had sex, maybe didn't use contraceptives (or they used condom but 'failed' to protect them) then the girl became pregnant. The girl doesn't want the child or felt that the child would be a problem to her or both of them, so she decided to abort the fetus. Sad reality but this actually happens in our society today. And some people are saying that using contraceptive in love making is a sin. Isn't abortion evil enough for them to consider passing the RH Bill?

We've got different ideas about RH Bill and using contraceptives in having sex. But I think when one will use contraceptive, it should be used with good intentions and only married people should use it.
